You have all seen those sappy romance movies where two friends fall in love with each other. Is that true? Could you really fall in love with your best guy friend or could a guy and a girl stay friends?
It all depends on the situation. Sometimes there comes a point where both a guy and a girl who are friends fall for each other. Other times it could go years and the both of them could just be friends. Then there comes a time where one falls for the other but their feelings aren't reciporicated. There is nothing worse than the one you love seeing you as "just a friend." Then you have to hear all about their love life and it hurts you inside.
It could be great dating your best friend. After all you both know each other so well. There is no trying to impress the other one and then finding out that you can't deal with their flaws. Then there is a point where you don't make it and you stop talking to each other. You can't cry on his shoulder and you didn't lose a boyfriend you lost a great friend.
If you are thinking of dating your best friend and he is single put a couple of things into perspective. Does he feel the same way? If you say something and he doesen't it could make things pretty awkward between the both of you. Does he meet all of your needs and makes you feel that you can't stop smiling whenever he is around or you think of him? What if you break up and end up being enemies. No one knows what the future is but if you have a good feeling about it and get along great then go for it.
