The days may be numbered for "24" at Fox -- but another network may be willing to give Jack Bauer one more year on the air. Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly is reporting that "there's definitely some interest" from NBC in picking up the series should Fox decide to cancel it.
Why would NBC decide to do this? The answer is simple: ratings. Now that "The Jay Leno Show" is off the air, "24" would be a perfect show for the 10:00 p.m. timeslot.
However, the show would also have a distinct set of advantages and disadvantages. While NBC would certainly like to take advantage of Kiefer Sutherland's built-in audience, they would also have to contend with rising costs for a show that doesn't pull in the ratings it once did. They would certainly save money producing a new pilot -- but they may also not be interested in taking so much of a ratings risk.

I have never missed an episode of 24 ever! But won't watch if it goes to NBC...I refuse to watch a last place network, only appear on a last place network.
