The Greater Bay Area Costumer's Guild's calendar is, as usual filled with good stuff for those of you whose sewing leans toward costumes. The GBACG is filled with people eager to share their sewing skills, and is a huge bay area treasure trove of information.
There are still tickets for the Regency Bonnet Workshop, held in the San Jose Hancock Fabrics which is incidentally, one of their nicer locations. GBACG classes are held in their big classroom in the back. Put Saturday, July 13, 2013 -- 10:00am to 5:00pm on your calendar as the day to add millinery to your sewing skillset.
August 24th brings the Costumer's Bazaar where you can find all those weird costume supplies you have been looking for for ages.
You can learn to make lace buttons on November 9th with Nancy Nehring, author of "50 Heirloom Buttons to Make".
Get your costume finished and take it our for a twirl at GBACG's sister organization, PEERS (Period Events & Entertainment Re-Creation Society) themed, live band, dance events. All skill levels are represented at all of these events, so don't be shy. Get stitching!
