The bad news for Costco shoppers but not Costco employees is that Costco stores will be closed on the Fourth of July, Epoch Times reported Thursday, July 3. Costco remains open on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Day in January, Presidents Day and other holidays not mentioned above.

Walmart stores are open on July 4, most with regular Friday hours, but call ahead to year store to make sure before you leave the house.

Target stores will be also be open on Friday, July 4, 2014. Target often honors other holidays, but it will be a working day this Independence day.
