More costars react publicly to James Avery's death just a day after learning of the sad news. Avery, known as "Uncle Phil" on "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," passed away due to complications following surgery. On Jan. 2, MTV reported that more and more people have been posting their condolences on social media.
Avery worked on several television shows from "CSI" to "That '70s Show" and plenty in between. He worked with tons of actors in his career and everyone seems to have such fond, warm memories of him. Check out some of the latest reactions to Avery's death below.

"Fresh Prince" costars reacted to James Avery's death almost instantly (see those reactions here) but one person who was close to Avery has yet to post a public reaction -- and that would be actor Will Smith. He may be gathering his thoughts or he may choose to grieve privately. It is unknown if he was still in touch with Avery but judging by a tweet from Smith's wife, Jada, the families were very close.
