Like always New York Comic-con 2013 has always had "Cosplayer," and the power to turn any venue into another world, while some might argue that it has gone too commercial. Whoever they are cosplaying each person is busy every chance they get, recreating our favorite characters for us to enjoy. They spend hours on costumes, save up money, find junk and turn it to gold, all to make comic-con worth going to and exploring. Now you may ask yourself why, or even how they make their costumes so well? The cosplayers are the fashion designers of the “Geek-Nation” all around the world. Shows like “heroes of cosplay” have shined a well deserved spot light on these artists.
Amanda Price has this to say ....
There is nothing that gives me more pleasure than creating horrific characters, I love the flexibility that comes with being a special effects makeup artists. My only complaint is the intricacy of this type of art-form.
Meeting people like Amanda Price, who does monster makeup, and Nhan Du a great cosplayer who does his own artwork. Amanda price has kindly given her time for an "Artzeal" event this friday, to help parents do simple make up for Halloween. Nhanu du does conventions and hang outs in his costumes, when he is not in the comic clubs doing his stand-up.The children's imagination are awakened, memories are formed that lasts for a life time. These Artists and many more in your towns, cities, all over your country are making a real contribution you may never notice.
"Nhan Du" spoke cosplay and this is his attitude
"I'm not very handy with a thread and needle, so when I cosplay I turn myself into the project. I work out, diet and get into the mindset of the characters I cosplay so when fans of the character see me, they're seeing that character brought to life. The recognition, the shrieking, geek-out is a sound I never get tired of hearing."
The total combine works of these artists are only documented by photo’s, movies, a few TV shows, and the memories of people like you. The minds and souls of these artists flow out in paint, cloth, and skill check them out wherever cosplay is done.
