The second annual GalaxyFest Convention took place in Colorado Springs on February 7-10. Among the guests, authors, dealers and clubs were those who came dressed for the occasion. From “Doctor Who” to “Star Wars”, many amazing costumes could be seen among the halls.
As further proof of the “Doctor Who” popularity take over in the United States, many of the costumes were versions of The Doctor. Examiner found the most dedicated Second Doctor fan waiting outside of the Frazier Hines panel. Aiden came to the convention decked out in a full Patrick Troughton costume including recorder and Target books.
The 501st Legion was at the event in full force. Many models and backdrops were on display. In addition the Mountain States R2D2 Builders were on hand to showcase their amazing Astromechs.
This is an event not to be missed as it continues to grow in the upcoming years. Please check their website for additional information on next year’s event which will take place February 21-23, 2014.
