'COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey' and 67th Tony Awards win at Creative Emmy Awards

The 66th Emmy Awards are taking place this weekend and next week. The Creative Awards were held on August 16 and the PrimeTime Emmy Awards will take place on Monday, August 25th. Both ceremonies are at the Nokia Theatre at LA Live in downtown Los Angeles.

"Game of Thrones" earned the most nominations when the 2014 Emmy nominees were announced. The HBO show received 19 nominations, including one in the coveted drama series category. The other drama series nominees were "Breaking Bad," "Downton Abbey," "House of Cards," "Mad Men" and "True Detective."

The Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards announced the majority of the behind the scenes and the technical work for television production. Categories include art direction, cinematography, hairstyling, makeup, music, picture editing, sound editing and mixing, special visual effects, stunts and more.

Awards were also handed out for commercials, animation, reality series and other programming, as well as some acting categories and special honors.

Music artists in attendance included Donnie Wahlberg, Derek Hough, Jane Lynch, Bear McCreary and more.

In the music-related categories, winners included The Beatles: The Night That Changed America" special, The 67the Annual Tony Awards, "COSMOS: A SpaceTime Odyssey to name a few.
