Cosmic Atrophy approach completion of their second full length concept album. This new one, called Montis Ex Dementia, is based on the work At the Mountains of Madness by H.P. Lovecraft. You can hear the first song on the album at the Cosmic Atrophy myspace.
Previous Cosmic Atrophy work sounded like a collision between Timeghoul, Demilich and old Incantation. This new one drops those elements to the background a small bit, and adds the flavor of old-school Swedish death metal like Carnage or Nihilist (or Norwegian death metal like Cadaver), if they had the technical proficiency of Atheist.
