Secret sale website Hushhush.com recently launched a study directed at men from the UK The survey was to find out the grooming and beauty habits of the men from the UK. The results of the study suggest that cosmetics use is a growing trend. Although most men will not admit they use cosmetics the results show that the men in the UK have added makeup and beauty products into their grooming regime.
In the study 1800 men were surveyed. Of the men surveyed 11 percent said that they secretly wear makeup. One of five men surveyed admitted that makeup is a part of their daily routine. The most popular makeup item was concealer which 71 percent admitted to using. Sixty-four percent of the men favor lip gloss. Forty-nine percent of the UK men who were part of the survey admitted to using eyeliner. Other popular cosmetics and beauty products favored were mascara, bronzer and self tanner.
The use of cosmetics amongst men may be increasing due to watching celebrities and public figures. It is no surprise that concealer was the beauty product of choice as concealer works to hide imperfections, blemishes as well as to mask darkness under the eyes. Even though the men of the UK are getting on board for makeup use, South Korea is still the male makeup capital.
