It has been one year since the death of Cory Monteith shocked the world. This star of "Glee" died of an overdose. His mom is now speaking out and admitting that she isn't handling the loss of her son well. On Thursday, ABC News shared what his mom had to say about the loss of her son.

His mother Ann McGregor is finally speaking out. She said, "The loss is horrendous … until three days ago I couldn't look at a picture of Cory. So there's been progress." That does sound a bit like things are improving for her but obviously she isn't okay. Ann also shared that Lea Michelle still stays in contact with her. They talk in e-mail and text and she shared that Lea is still hurting too.

Ann saw Cory just a couple of days before his death. She shared that he had plans to move to Vancouver and sign a lease on a place. It really does appear that he was going to get away from Hollywood. A lot of people simply go to an area for work and then have somewhere else they live in the down time.

His mom shared that he had problems with drugs before. She said, "Cory was 15, he did a code blue and I think that was the turning point. He had a lot of emotional things he was trying to figure out -- lot of it was he really wanted a relationship with his father. I think when a child gets invalidated they keep reaching even harder. They want to find out why."

"Glee" is now coming to an end. The show will be over after this season which will start airing in the fall. You can still see Cory Monteith on reruns of the show. Cory will never be forgotten by his fans and they have a lot of love for this actor. Hopefully his mom Ann McGregor can continue to heal and get through this hard time.
