Cory Monteith has entered rehab for substance addiction. On April 1, PEOPLE Magazine reported that the "Glee" star, 30, has "voluntarily" decided to seek treatment. It is unknown exactly what Monteith is addicted to, but his family, friends, and fans are just happy that he is getting help. His girlfriend (and "Glee" co-star) Lea Michele has spoken out about her beau's decision to go the rehab.
"I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision," said Lea Michele (via PEOPLE). And she certainly isn't the only one who supports Monteith's decision.
Cory Monteith will be in rehab for an undisclosed amount of time. It is unknown if he is doing a step program for a certain number of days or if he will need to get help for a longer period of time. Nonetheless, he is getting support from a lot of people who truly seem to want the absolute best for him.
"Cory is a beloved member of the Glee family and we fully support his decision to seek treatment. Everyone at the show wishes him well and looks forward to his return," said 20th Century Fox TV (via PEOPLE).
Cory Monteith's rehab stay shouldn't affect his work on "Glee." Hopefully he will recover and be able to rejoin the cast when filming resumes.
