Cory Monteith rehab: ‘Glee’ star enters treatment for substance addiction

Cory Monteith has entered rehab. The “Glee” star headed to treatment to deal with substance addiction problems, the LA Times reported on April 1.

According to the report, “Glee” will finish out season 4 without Cory’s character, Finn Hudson, as the actor seeks treatment for his addiction issues.

Cory Monteith voluntarily admitted himself into rehab. "He graciously asks for your respect and privacy as he takes the necessary steps towards recovery,” his rep said in a statement.
Meanwhile, Monteith’s co-star, and real-life girlfriend, Lea Michele, is standing by her man. "I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this," Michele told People, adding that she’s “grateful” and “proud” that he chose to get help.

This marks Cory’s second stint in treatment. The “Glee” star admitted during an interview in 2011, that he was admitted to treatment at age 19 after years of alcohol and marijuana abuse.
