Tom Read from GM's Advanced Powertrain Technology Communications said GM is considering a program where Corvette ZR1 buyers can design the engine specifically for their individual car.

If adopted, and this is a mighty big if, it would allow buyers the chance to have a hand in creating their own uber car.

It's one of the ideas floating around "new GM" that would be an amazing way for GM's cache car to connect with enthusiasts and bring excitement to the brand. The halo effect would be unprecedented.
