Corsair, a top manufacturer of PC gaming components, have announced a new line of Vengeance laptop memory kits for laptops equipped with 2nd-gen Intel i5 and i7 processors.
The new memory does not require any BIOS adjustments to take advantage of the quicker speeds and are designed to work with any PC or notebook that takes DDR3 SODIMMs. They are also bakcward compatible with notebook sand laptops which use 1st-gen i5 and i7 processors.
Older notebooks cannot take advantage of the added speed, but can still use them to upgrade to 8GB of RAM.
There are three configurations currently available:
- 8GB (2 DIMMs), Speed - 1866MHz, 10-10-10-27, 1.5V
- 8GB (2 DIMMs), Speed - 1600MHz, 9-9-9-24, 1.5V
- 4GB (1 DIMM), Speed - 1866MHz, 10-10-10-27, 1.5V
