Corruption Chronicles, the official daily blog of Judicial Watch, reports today that the White House claims that the amnesty plan for illegal aliens contained in the DREAM Act will make the U.S. 'smarter,' if approved.
The DREAM Act is the amnesty plan the Democrat-controlled Congress is attempting to ram through during the lame-duck session, prior to the new 112th Congress that is slated to take office in January.
According to the report,
"As it pushes the lame-duck Congress to pass an amnesty bill, the White House claims that legalizing millions of illegal immigrants will help the U.S. economy, support military troops and make the nation smarter.
"In its desperate attempt to convince Americans that the soon-to-expire Congress should approve the contentious DREAM Act, the White House compares the measure to a popular Chinese herb known to improve cognitive function. Like Ginkgo Biloba, the DREAM Act will make the country smarter..."
The assertion is no joke or exaggeration. The White House website itself makes that claim in '10 Reasons We Need the DREAM Act.'
Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, has schedule a Senate vote on the act this week.
The Center for Immigration Studies, however, sees major problems with the proposed legislation. In addition to the fact that the DREAM Act will lead to an estimated 1.03 million illegal aliens enrolling in public institutions of higher learning, the costs to the taxpayers at a time when the national debt is already hovering at an unsustainable level are staggering.
According to estimates provided by the Center using standard cost analyses, the price-tag of implementing the Act will be 6.2 billion dollars per year, all of which will be added to the national debt for which taxpayers are liable.
With most Americans overwhelmingly opposed to the DREAM Act, apparently the Democrats plan to level yet another swift kick to taxpayers on their way out the door by ramming through unpopular legislation.

How can anyone believe anything from this White House?
Is there any way to overturn this? I don't know why Democrats even pretend to have the nation's best interest at heart. They really must think we're dumb and the Dream Act isn't going to make us smarter,just madder.
They clearly don't care. It's not about Americans - it's about the Progressive agenda.
This is treason and needs to be called that, the the perps need to be called out.

Well, lets demand we all get equal treatment...free healthcare, schooling, housing, and all the other little gifts our government is giving out at our expense and against our will. These representatives need to realize their scope of work, and that is not to have their own agendas, but to speak on behalf of the people they represent. Its almost as if we the people need another representative to represent us to our own representatives, or our own lobbyists.
Maybe at some town meetings we should ask our representatives to tell us if we need a representative so they will listen to us. If they say yes, then they should be fired on the spot, or if they say no, tell them they better listen to us...or else.
We have absolutely no borders ! We have absolutely no accountability of who is in OUR country ILLEGALLY and their families extended or otherwise! We have no idea as to how many ILLEGALS are already tapping into the governments coffers ! We have a government that would rather shake good Americans down at our airports that catch those who already have broken OUR laws, or are here to cause OUR country harm! 6.2 billion a year would go a long ways to rectifying all of the above ! OUR elected officials are IDIOTS ....period !
