Corrupt Tulsa police officer gets additional three months in prison for contempt

Former Tulsa police officer Jeff Henderson had three months tacked onto his forty-two month prison sentence, when federal judge James Payne found him in contempt of court for perjury on February 28th. Henderson lied repeatedly to the courts about which informants he used to gather evidence against defendants that were sent to prison on falsified testimony. One of the informants he allegedly used was incarcerated at the time and the other one had passed away, so neither could have served as informants at the time and in the location that Henderson alleged in his testimony Henderson had already been convicted of six counts of perjury and two counts of civil rights violations in a corruption probe of the Tulsa police department. At least forty-six prisoners have been released as a result of civil rights violations or false testimony fabricated by police officers. Some of the released suspects were facing life imprisonment due to the charges that had been brought upon them by corrupt police officers within the Tulsa police department and other law enforcement agencies.
