Corpus Christi Yacht Club’s ‘Learn to Sail Program’ open to the public

Corpus Christi Yacht Club announces their "Learn to Sail" summer program for beginners to advanced sailors ages 8 to 16.

You do not need to be a member of CCYC to participate. The “Learn to Sail” program is offered for 2 week time periods and you can sign up for multiple periods. They offer beginner, intermediate and advanced sailing classes. After taking a two-week class students are eligible to join the junior race team.

Lessons are taught in Optimist Dinghy’s or 420s. Weather in the summer in Corpus Christi is normally hot and sunny. Junior sailors need to bring sunscreen and supply their own lifejacket. Junior sailors also need to bring their own lunch.

The program runs from June 25 to August 17. The hours are from 8:30 to 3:00 daily.
Aftercare is available until 4:30. There is an additional charge for this service.
