At 7 p.m., four hours after waiting first in line for the Corpus Christi midnight premiere of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse at the Stadium 16 Starplex Movie Cinema complex in Corpus Christi, Danielle, Diania, Megan, and Mary were not only patient, but were excited to continue their wait another 5 hours to get the best seats in the house.

Long lines wrapped the corners inside of the Stadium 16 Starplex Movie Cinema in Corpus Christi as fans of the Twilight movie series were excitedly waiting to be let in to the theatre hoping to be one of the first few in town who got a chance to experience the long anticipated 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse' phenomenon.

The third installment to the Twilight series, adapted from Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel, promises to be one that balances a modern-day romance as well as exciting action. Early reviews indicate that director, David Slade, does a nice job of showing the darker and edgier side of Twilight, but also showing the love triangle that has so many addicted to the series.

Whatever your take on the Twilight phenomenon is, one thing is clear, it has a following and a big one. Part of the attraction of the films is the romance that keeps teen girls coming back for more. It doesn't hurt to have a cast of actors that are easy on the eyes! In fact, that's one of the reasons these Corpus Christi girls waited in line so long. They admit that part of their attraction to the films are the young male actors who capture their hearts. All starry eyes aside, the girls were hoping for an exciting and thrilling movie and from the looks of it, so were many others in Corpus Christi!

Camping out to be the first in line was nothing new to two of the girls who admitted to having done the same thing before. The promise of the film was obviously worth the effort or I doubt they would have endured the wait. Hopefully, they still felt the same way after watching the film at midnight!

Parents should know that the The Twilight Saga: Eclipse is PG-13 for good reason and many of them do. I have met several moms who are reading the series and watching the films along with their children. In fact, many families experience the films together. Needless to say, I wasn't surprised to find other family members of the girls in attendance at the film premiere.

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse will be showing in four different theatres at Starplex Cinemas located at 5218 Silverberry, Corpus Christi, TX 78417. For more information you can call their movie line at (361)814-3100.
