New details surfaced regarding Corey Monteith's death on July 13, which claim he was shooting heroin and drinking lots of champagne, a report revealed on Wednesday, October 2.
The BC Coroners Service in Victoria, British Columbia released its final report on Corey's cause of death, revealing some disturbing new information, US Weekly reported. The "Glee" star, who died in a hotel room at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in Vancouver, had been doing some heavy duty drinking and shooting himself up with heroin.
Officials found drug paraphernalia that included a "spoon with drug residue and a used hypodermic needle," and there were also two empty bottles of champagne. Corey "was not seen alive again" after he was captured on video entering his room alone at 2:26 a.m.
The report also stated that Corey had a recurring drug problem, having gone to rehab several times and had some periods of abstinence as well. However, the report claims that, "if someone has abstained from using opioids (which include heroin) for a period of time, tolerance may be lessened."
To commemorate Corey and the character he played on the hit series Glee, Finn Hudson, a special episode, of the smash series, titled "Quaterback," will air next Thursday, Oct. 10.
