We heard from Corey Haim's mother Judy about the film and TV actor's death earlier this week -- now, we're getting the chance to hear father Bernie speak out.
In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Bernie (who just came down to Los Angeles from Montreal) had nothing but warm things to say about the last time he saw his son:
“Last time I saw him was about a month or so ago and he felt great and he looked great...The Corey that I met originally and knew and love [was] back.”
As for his own feelings about Corey's death, Bernie kept his answer simple: "A part of you is gone."
Corey Haim's death is still spawning a mass investigation, and there's also a possibility now that some prescription medications in his name are tied to a massive illegal drug ring in San Diego. Using fake doctor identification, vendors were able to pass out some potentially deadly drugs.
Do you sympathize with Corey Haim's father given the current situation? Feel free to share your thoughts and I will have more news as it becomes available.

Why wouldn't I sympathize? It is painfully hard for parents to lose their child. It isn't meant to be that way. There are a lot of unanswered questions about all this still. Hopefully in time everyone can find all the right answers to all this. I just hope he got right with Jesus. You never know. God hates the sin but not the person. Ok. GO at it.
I do sympathize with his dad..his whole family and to anyone who loved him. No matter what his personal demons were they were his to fight and I think anyone who judged him for them are to quick at casting out stones. He was hurting and struggling with something and people friggin knocked him down for it. WHY??? We all have been through something once time or another and know what it may be like trying to pull yourself out of that hole. He was a great actor and I am proud that he is a Canadian. I really do hope and pray no one forgets him.
I don't think there's anything worse than someone lost making an effort to get themselves together and then die from some unrelated or obscure reason. What makes this a very sad situation is that Haim really was making an effort to get his life together and take responsibility for himself and his career, despite some people not even giving him a chance, and then this happens. I don't know what else to say except my deepest sympathy to his family, Feldman, and his other friends.
