Corbin Goodwin owner of the ratrod '84 Mazda RX7 finally finds a buyer

Corbin Goodwin, owner of the ratrod 5.0 Liter V8 powered 1984 Mazda RX7 who gained Internet fame after being featured on YouTube's Drive series, has finally found a buyer earlier today (Feb. 24,2013) according to his facebook status. Priced at nearly $10,000 for a close to 30 year old Japanese import, some thought that Goodwin would never sell his car and that it was overpriced. But as most used car purchases go, many forget the emotional aspect that a car brings.

Corbin Goodwin hinted earlier on last week that he was going to sell his ‘84 RX7 as he wanted to build another project car that was crazier than this one was. Many of his fans on youtube and facebook expressed their disapproval of his decision, but for the most part supported Goodwin' plans. Goodwin’s intentions were set in stone when his craigslist ad popped up in his local Los Angleles Craigslist section.

From what we can gather, the buyer is from San Francisco, California and has every intention to improve upon the car as it stands. Of course some of his friends expressed there wish that the car be kept in the same condition whereas Corbin responded,

“He can do what he wants, it's his car.But it's not my thing to tell people what they can and can't do.Hey he paid the money he can paint it, but it sounds like he knows better than to do that."

If the deal does go down, us fans will be sad to see it leave his hands. But we look forward to Corbin Goodwin’s next build and what the new owner of this V8 ‘84 Mazda RX7 has in store.
