Have you ever saved an expensive bottle of wine until it was well past its peak drinking age? Well, there is a new Wine Access System called Coravin that claims to allow you to tap into that precious bottle of wine without allowing oxygen to enter into the bottle and cause the wine to become oxidated. In other words, you can taste that 2009 Mouton Rothschild today and again six months from now to see how it is aging in its bottle.

This week, Greg Lambrecht, the inventor and founder of the Coravin Wine Access System will be demonstrating the Coravin Wine Access System in the Los Angeles area at both the Wine House in West Los Angeles and Bottle Rock in downtown Los Angeles. Both locations will be tasting some incredible wines and raffling off a Coravin system ($300 value) at their tastings.

The Wine House tasting will be held on August 27 from 7pm to 9pm. Ticket prices are $29.00 per person. Click here for more information about the Wine House event. At Bottle Rock, the following Cabernet Sauvignon selections will be tasted on August 28 from 6pm to 7:30pm:

2010 Groth

2011 Stag's Leap

2012 Caymus

2010 Inglenook

2010 Silver Oak

2008 Pahlmeyer

Tickets to this event are $25.00 per person. For more information about the Bottle Rock event, please click here.
