The robbery occurred at 9:30 a.m. on Sept. 27 at the Chase Bank branch located at 675 Middle Neck Road in Great Neck.
Police said an “unknown male black subject” entered the bank, displayed a gun and demanded cash from a teller. According to authorities, surveillance video inside the bank captured the man’s image as he verbally demanded money from the bank employee. The teller complied and passed the man an unknown amount of cash. He fled the scene before police arrived.
There were six employees and another customer inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No one was injured.
The assailant is described as being between 50 and 60 years old, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, with a thin build. Cops said he was last seen wearing a light colored winter cap, green shirt, blue pants and white sneakers.
