A Rockville Centre woman was arrested Friday on felony drunken driving charges after police said she was allegedly caught drunk at a supermarket with her two-year-old son.

Nassau County Police arrested Corina Rusu, 36, after receiving a 911 call around 4:15 p.m. Friday reporting that she was driving erratically to the Stop & Shop supermarket on Atlantic Avenue in Oceanside. Police found Rusu with her 2-year-old son inside the store and arrested her as she left after she showed “signs of intoxication,” a news release said.

Cops said the young child was released to his father at the scene and Rusu was taken to Nassau Police headquarters in Mineola for “further testing.”

Police later charged Rusu with felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child 15 years old or younger under Leandra’s Law and an additional driving while intoxicated count. She is expected to face a judge later Saturday for arraignment.
