A Queens man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly used a fraudulent credit card to make more than $3,000 in purchases at an Old Bethpage liquor store, Nassau County police said.
Kenneth Ferguson, 21, of St. Albans, will be arraigned Sept. 17 on larceny, forgery and identity theft charges.
Cops said Ferguson went to the Bottle Values Liquor Store at 734 Old Bethpage Road on Sept. 9 and Sept. 11 to make purchases using “re-encoded credit cards.” Those purchases reportedly totaled $3,056.
When Ferguson showed up at the store again on Monday, the manager – who became aware of the fraudulent purchases – called police.
Cops said he was also found to be in possession of two other fraudulent debit cards.
Ferguson was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, three counts of second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument, as well as first-degree and second-degree identity theft.
He is due to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
