Cops nab League City burglar

The League City Police Department has made an arrest in a criminal trespassing case, involving a masked man.

On July 24, 2012 just past midnight the League City Police Department received a report of a man entering a home without consent in the 2100 block of Autumn Cove . The man reportedly approached a sleeping woman inside the home and touched her leg. The intruder wearing all black with a red mask, of thin build, and between 6'2" and 6'4" in height. Once he was discovered, he ran from the home.

On September 17 at 1:00 o'clock in the morning the department received a report of a man in the backyard of another residence in the 2100 block of Autumn Cove. This man matched the description of the man from the July 24 incident. With the assistance of Autumn Cove residents, detectives were able to identify Marco Alverez, 28, who was arrested and charged with Burglary of a Residence and Criminal Trespass.

He is being held in the Galveston County Jail in lieu of $47,000 in bail and will be questioned by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
