Cops: Men charged in string of Baldwin home burglaries

Two Roosevelt men are expected to face a judge Sunday after being charged with allegedly burglarizing multiple homes in Baldwin, Nassau County police said.

Police charged Bijon George Roberts, 20, of 10 Royal Court, with four counts of second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property. A second man, Eric Amaya, 18, of 87 Smith St., was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary and third-degree criminal possession of stolen property.

Police say the two men are responsible for: the Sept. 27 burglary of a home at 855 Linden Ave.; the Sept. 27 burglary of 1139 Cramer Court; and the Oct. 1 burglary of a home at 15 Mayfair Road. Detectives have also charged Roberts in connection with a burglary on April 26 at 48 Stanton Ave.

Police said assorted jewelry and electronics were stolen during all of the burglaries.

The men were to be arraigned at First District Court in Hempstead.
