Cops kill teen gunman: Police in Brooklyn, New York have gunned down a 16-year-old boy after the young man allegedly pointed a gun at them. According to the police, the boys in blue were acting in self-defense.
According to the Daily Mail, Kimani Gray was shot multiple times and eventually died from his wounds. Gray was hit both in the leg and stomach after “he pulled out a .357 revolver in East Flatbush, Brooklyn.”
Police say they arrived on the scene to find a handful of young men on Saturday night. Soon, it became apparent that Gray was allegedly walking away from the scene—although it’s unclear at this time if police know why Gray was walking away or if he did something wrong or simply felt threatened by the cops.
When the teen began adjusting his waistline, police became suspicious.
That’s when, according to the police, Gray pulled out his weapon and pointed it at the officers. The cops, who were not in uniform at the time and were driving an unmarked vehicle, noticed Kimani pull out his weapon, they responded by shooting at him.
Of course, the bullet wounds eventually wound kill Gray.
They story may not be so cut and dry as it seems, however. One of Gray’s freidns, according to the NY Post, claims Gray was heard yelling ‘Stop! I’m not running!’ as police opened fired on the teenager.
