An ice cream truck driver from Queens has been arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a young girl when she tried to buy a frozen snack, Suffolk County police said Wednesday.

Muhammad Chaudhry, 63, of Middle Village, was charged with first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. He was expected to face a judge Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip for arraignment.

Investigators say Chaudhry was driving his ice cream truck in Wyandanch on May 21 when an 11-year-old girl approached him around 7:25 p.m. Police allege that during the purchase, Chaudhry fondled the preteen.

Special Vicitims Squad detectives conducted an investigation and arrested Chaudhry at a home at 26 North 16th St. in Wyandanch on Wednesday afternoon.

Police say they are looking to speak with any possible additional victims. Anyone with information is asked to call Special Victims detectives at 631-852-6531.
