Nikolaos Katrakazos, 23, of 41 Fenimore Ave., will be arraigned Aug. 25 at First District Court in Hempstead.
Cops nabbed Katrakazos when they stopped his 1999 Proline boat in Hempstead Harbor off Harry Tappen Beach at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday.
According to a news release, Marine Bureau officers initiated the vessel stop – similar to a traffic stop involving a car – after they saw he was “operating without navigational lights.”
Katrakazos “was found to have watery blood shot eyes and slurred speech,” police said. He was arrested at the scene and charged with boating while intoxicated, operating an unregistered vessel, navigation lights not displayed, improper display of validating stickers and no distress flag or flares.
His boat was released to another passenger, who cops said was not intoxicated.
