Cops in Bridgeport, Conn. have been accused of brutality after a video surfaced showing them beating a suspect. On Jan. 26, the New York Post reported that 3 cops have been pulled off the streets after their chief saw a video of them "kicking and stomping" a suspect after he'd already been subdued by a stun gun.
"In the video, a stun gun is heard being fired and a man falls to the ground at a park. Two officers stand over the motionless man and begin kicking him. A third officer drives up and attacks him. No complaint was filed," the NY Post reports.
The cops accused of brutality have been placed on "desk duty" pending an investigation. The video was reportedly from an incident that occurred back in 2011 but it was just uploaded to YouTube on Saturday morning. You can see the video on the left. The three officers could not be reached for comment.
It is unknown what will become of the three cops involved in this brutal beating. The three officers have been identified as Elson Morales, Joseph Lawlor, and Clive Higgins, and all three of them are 10-year veterans of the police force according to the report. Do you think they should lose their jobs?
The cops accused of brutality will remain off the streets until the investigation is complete.
