Copperfield's is one of northern California's largest independent bookstores with locations in six cities including Sebastapol, Petaluma, and Santa Rosa. Coming up in the next few weeks Copperfield's in Petaluma and Santa Rosa will be hosting several children's fiction authors and fans will get the opportunity to meet the creators of some of their favorite books and characters. Here's a breakdown of which authors will be at Copperfield's in Petaluma and Santa Rosa and the books they have written.
Tues., Feb. 21 @ 3 p.m. - Jennifer Fosberry, author of Isabella: Girl on the Go, will be on hand to share her newest book with young readers and their families. Isabella is a little girl with a big imagination. Her sandbox can become the deserts of Egypt, complete with pyramids, in the blink of an eye. Jennifer Fosberry is also the author of My Name is Not Alexander.
Tues., Feb 28 @ 3 p.m. - Kathryn Littlewood will visit to share her newest title for tweens, Bliss. The Bliss family owns a bakery, but not any ordinary bakery. The Bliss family owns a special recipe book for making enchanted treats. When Rosemary Bliss and her siblings are left in charge while their parents are out of town, all sorts of adventures take place.
Tues., March 13 @ 10 a.m. - Felicia Hoshino, a San Francisco native, will present her newest children's book, Sora and the Cloud. Sora climbs a tree and takes a ride on a cloud, viewing all sorts of wonders from the air. This is a bilingual book, it includes both English and Japanese text. Felicia Hoshino is also the author of seven more books includeing My Dog Teny, Finding the Golden Ruler, and A Place Where Sunflowers Grow.
Thurs., March 1 @ 3:30 p.m. - Lee Wardlaw, author of the popular 101 Ways series, will present 101 Ways to Bug Your Friends and Enemies. Sneeze Wyatt takes half his classes at middle school and half at the high school. Everyone in middle school is falling in love and at high school sneeze must deal with a bully. Lee Wardlaw is also the author of several books for kids of all ages including Won Ton, The Eye and I, and Alley Cat.
