Just in time for the weekend, Copper Mountain is reporting 5 inches of fresh snow in the past 24 hours, bringing the total snowfall for the week to 14 inches. With this new snow, Copper now has open 14 lifts and 43 trails, offering access to 504 acres of skiing and snowboarding. The resort has a mid-mountain base of 31 inches and an upper-mountain base of 33 inches.
Among the lifts just opened are those providing access to beginner and intermediate terrain, including trails off of the Timberline Express, Highpoint, and Kokomo lifts. Though access to most of the expert terrain is still limited, additional advanced terrain has opened off of Super Bee, Excelerator, and Storm King.
With more snow in the forecast for Summit County over the next week, additional terrain may open in time for the Christmas weekend. In the meantime, you can give yourself an early present and head up to Copper to make some fresh tracks this weekend.
Let it snow!
