The Coppell Community Garden invites everyone to a no-cost Rainwater Harvesting class from 10:30 a.m. until noon on Saturday, March 2, at the Cozby Library, 177 N. Heartz Rd. in Coppell.

The class will cover the benefits and uses of rainwater, methods of harvesting, rain storage options and how to best use rainwater. The instructor will be architect Gary Gene Olp, chairman of the North Texas chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council. Olp’s environmental architectural firm, GGO Architects, was the first green practice of its type in Dallas. Olp practices rainwater harvesting on a large scale at his own Dallas home.
