A Copiague man will be arraigned Thursday on felony child pornography charges after an investigation by State Police revealed he possessed videos of child pornography and offered them to others online.
Victor Nieto, 32, was arrested Wednesday after computer crimes investigators from the New York State Police teamed up with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force found explicit videos of underage children on his computer.
State Police began to investigate Nieto after they learned that he was “offering to share these illicit videos via the internet,” a news release said. According to authorities, a search warrant was executed last month at Nieto’s former apartment, where they found his personal computer. On his computer, police found multiple videos of underage children engaged in sexual activities, officials said.
Nieto was held overnight on five separate felony counts of possessing a sexual performance of a child. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday at First District Court in Central Islip.
