Mother Nature is trying to pay us back after a soggy Sunday evening and night across all of Ohio. In fact, Columbus set a new daily rainfall record on Sunday with 2.33” of rain falling. The old record was 2.00” set back in 1911! Thankfully the weather is returning to a much more pleasant state.
The sun is breaking out through the clouds this afternoon. These clouds will dissipate this evening allowing for temperatures to cool off fairly quickly. Highs today only made it into the lower 60s if you can believe that! With clearing skies and winds calming down tonight, lows will head for the lower and middle 40s. Some outlying areas may even briefly touch the upper 30s.
It will be another cool day on Tuesday but we will see much more sunshine. In fact you can expect clear blue skies all day long! Even with the added sunshine, the cool start will lead to a cool afternoon. Highs will likely stay just shy of 70 degrees.
The weather will not be changing very much for the remainder of the week other than a slowly warming atmosphere. Highs will moderate into the lower 70s with morning lows in the 40s. It will be jacket weather in the morning and comfortable in the afternoon.
A weak cool front will head our direction this weekend. It may bring a couple isolated showers on Sunday, but right now it does not look like anything major. Have a great day!
The full 7-day is in the slideshow/list!
