Cook's Warehouse has generously donated their kitchen for the February 9, 2013 Cooking Without Food Allergies class being taught by Chef Asata Reid of LifeChef. Chef Asata, whose partner and son have food allergies, will share easy to prepare foods that both kids and adults will love.
The class is being taught at Cook's Decatur location and it runs from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. with a $25 per person cost to attend. The menu has not been set just yet because they want to take each attendees allergies/intolerance into consideration, so be sure to note any allergens you must avoid on the online registration form.
Proceeds from the event benefit FARE, which is dedicated to food allergy research and education with the mission of ensuring the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies. FARE is a merger of The Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN) and the Food Allergy Initiative (FAI).
If you would like to attend this class, please sign up online.
