Cooking classes for kids: Waunakee Village Center

Classes that teach kids to cook are becoming all the rage in the Madison area.

Following Whole Foods' sterling line-up of youth cooking classes, the Waunakee Village Center has recently jumped on the band wagon to offer two classes just for kids.

Tasty Mini-Foods for Kids: "Make mini- treats, mini roll-up salads, mini muffins, mini pot pies and more in a fun and tasty class."  All materials are furnished for this hands-on class and no previous experience is necessary. Aprons, cameras and parents are welcome, but not required.  Students will take home a recipe folder. Friday, 10/29/10 10 am to Noon. Resident: $19.00  Non-resident: $24.00 Ages 6 and up.

Easy Holiday Goodies for Kids: "A hands-on class of making fudge, cookies, party mix, homemade hot chocolate and more with tasty sampling."  All materials are furnished for this hands-on class and no previous experience is necessary. Aprons, cameras and parents are welcome, but not required.  Students will take home a recipe folder. Friday, 11/26/10 10 am to Noon. Resident: $19.00  Non-resident: $24.00 Ages 6 and up.
