Dark Blessings.

Ooooh, there is a nip in the air and the holiday spirit is everywhere tempting us with sweet delights of the season. What better way to spend the community's time than with good folks, with good cookies, for a good cause? Pagan Pathways Temple is hosting a Cookie Walk on December 8th at Southfield Parks and Recreation Room 223, located at 26000 Evergreen Road, Southfield, Michigan.

Admission is free and smiles are also. Never been to a cookie walk? Here is a description from the Temple folks

"What is a cookie walk? First you purchase the size box you wish to fill. Then you walk around the tables and fill your box from the trays of cookies. When you are done bring you box up and have it taped shut. (Box must be able to be taped flat).
Box sizes are $7.00 & $10.00 (cash only)"

This is a fundraising venture, with proceeds going toward the Temple's building fund. They are planning to open in June of 2014 C.E., so they are asking the Pagan community to come together and support their efforts.

You may have seen them around different events in the Southeast Michigan Pagan Community. They have appeared at Pagan Pride Day Detroit and Grand Rapids, The Bluewater Pagan Conference, and Beyond The Veil to name a few. They are comprised of the local Pagan communities and have a shared vision to

"To provide a place of worship and learning for all those who seek enlightenment and universal knowledge. To offer a haven for all faiths and paths that value love, tolerance, and community; that seek to empower and enrich our fellow man. In order to promote community, we do not include those paths or traditions whose doctrines advocate bigotry and/or violence against others on any basis including, but not limited to: race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or religion"

Want to be involved more? They are also accepting donations of baked cookies and baking supplies for their volunteer bakers. Get those sleeves up. They even have drop off locations:
