Cook Children's Day Wednesday at Stock Show

See also

If you were given the opportunity to enjoy a performance of the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo and while enjoying what you already wanted to do you gave to Cook Children's Hospital, would you do it?

Well, you have that opportunity this Wednesday. For every ticket that is sold for Wednesday's matinee at 2:00 p.m. and the evening 7:30 p.m. performance of the Stock Show Rodeo one-half of the ticket price is going to be donated to Cook Children's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) here in Fort Worth.

This 99 all single room facility includes accommodations for twins, triplets and even quadruplets, and is one of the largest such NICUs in the nation.

Let's do the math. Let's say the Coliseum sells out every seat to almost 6,000 people - times 2 performances equals 12,000 people purchasing tickets at $19.00 each the ticket sales would end up with a total of $228,000.00 and a check for $114,000.00 would be going directly to this valuable Neonatal facility. And all for what you wanted to do already and that is to see a world-class rodeo right here in Fort Worth, home of the Original Indoor Rodeo.

Fort Worth is known as a giving city and here is your chance to see the Stock Show (free admission to the grounds with your ticket), catch a horse show or two, watch cattle judging, see other livestock, do a little shopping, walk the Midway and enjoy the Rodeo all for one price and give to Cook Children's at the same time.

For more information see the Stock Show's web site at www.fwssr.com.
