Convergys looking to hire 160 for Hickory call center during open house

Convergys Corporation is looking to hire 160 new full-time employees for their contact center in Hickory. The contact center currently has 675 employees and these additional jobs will bring the workforce to 835 in just the few years they have been in Hickory.

Based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, Convergys provides customer service and sales support for various companies in the telecommunications industry. They are looking for people with solid customer service and sales experience, strong computer/keyboard skills and the ability to work a flexible schedule that may include some evenings.

“We’re looking for customer service-driven individuals with sales experience to handle customer calls, as well as provide information on client products and services,” said Billie Coon, site leader for the Convergys contact center in Hickory.

Convergys will be holding an on-site Recruitment Open House for those interested in applying to come by.
