You may remember Maria Kang as the fit mother of three who splashed pics of herself on Facebook, setting off a social media firestorm as she seemingly called out all overweight moms who had no excuse not to look as toned and ripped as she does.
In October, Kang posted a picture of herself in a sports bra showing off toned abs and her three young boys. The post generated quite a bit of discussion. Those who supported her said her picture inspired them and assured them it was possible to be fit post-kids. Others felt that she was unfairly targeting overweight women and telling them they have no excuse not to look like her.
To be fair, Kang's 2014 swimsuit calendar has eased off on the "no excuses" approach, and instead of showing off her own bod, she has put together a collection of moms who are proud of the way they look.
The calendar shows off women who are not necessarily as thin and defined as Kang, but nevertheless have worked hard to get themselves back into shape.
According to Kang’s website, noexcusemom.com, the calendar “offers nutrition, exercise and time management tips as well as 4 home workouts.”
