Cory Monteith of "Glee" passed away earlier this year. Tonight on the 65th annual Emmy Awards they plan to do a tribute to the star but this not going to happen without some controversy. On Sept. 22, ABC reported that some people are not happy with the fact that he is getting a tribute.
Actor Jack Klugman will also get a tribute, but his son Adam doesn't think it is fair that Cory is getting one too. He says that his dad has won Emmy Awards and that Cory was just an up and coming actor who had not won anything yet. Adam told the LA Times: "They're celebrating this self-inflicted tragedy instead of celebrating the life of my father, who won three Emmys. ... Cory Monteith never won an Emmy."
Emmys executive producer Ken Ehrlich is explaining that there is a generation gap and that both actors have their own fans. They will both be missed by many.
His opinion doesn't change the fact "Glee" has a huge fan base and that fans everywhere were mourning the loss of Cory Monteith when he passed away. The fans of "Glee" really do want to see this tribute for Cory who played Finn Hudson on the show.
