Control Magic, an iconic blue "Magic: The Gathering" card which was printed in the game's original sets "Alpha," "Beta," and "Unlimited," will be reprinted in the "Evasive Maneuvers" deck from Wizards of the Coast's upcoming "Commander (2013 Edition)." This marks the first time Control Magic has been reprinted since its appearance 14 years ago in the "Battle Royal" box set in 1999.
Control Magic - 2UU
Enchantment - Aura (Uncommon)
You control enchanted creature.
"Do as I think, not as I do."
Control Magic is a powerful two-for-one, transforming one of your opponent's threats into one of your own. It can be devastating during a normal duel, and in multiplayer games like Commander where everyone's running ridiculous creatures Control Magic is just downright dirty. Control Magic can be crazy when the creature card that you've stolen helps you gain even more card advantage.
There's been numerous variations of Control Magic printed over the years, most of which either cost more mana to cast or have a significant drawback on the card limiting its usefulness. A couple of recent Control Magic variants include Soul Ransom and Mind Control, however the most famous version is probably Treachery because it's a "free" spell to cast.
How will you use Control Magic?
