Contractors turn attention to construction work progress

Members of the Association of General Contractors in San Diego will attend the association's annual California Convention, in Palm Springs, this week to see the new technology and products revealed to the construction industry ranks. Opening night is on Tuesday at 8 pm.

The ROCKOLA band opens the convention event.

Contractors will attend sixteen sessions on Wednesday and Thursday.

At the general session, the founder of the X PRIZE Foundation, D. Peter Diamantis, will talk about industry solutions contractors can work on. This year, the foundation that offered 10 million dollars to anyone who can invent a 100 miles per gallon car, will offer another 10 million dollars to the developer of a wireless device that an monitor and diagnose your health condition.

Contractors will learn the possibilities opening up in their field. One session covers the future of technology innovation in the construction field. New technologies and products will be on display at an annual construction exposition.
