Julian: “You see your privacy was never there to begin with. I know it feels like you have lost control, but you never had it, and now you know what that means.”

Chaos is everywhere in this episode, especially in the writing. There is a lot going on. The writers open up possible storylines, and then don’t do anything with them. At first, it seems like Kiera will finally learn what happened with Gardiner, since she asks Alec to look into it. There’s even an agent who asks Kiera when the last time she spoke to him was. However, nothing beyond that happens. Travis tries to schedule a meeting with Kiera in order to talk about how Garza is missing, which also could have shed insight on Gardiner’s disappearance. Once again, this doesn’t happen. The writers start too many potential storylines that the entire episode is chaotic. Yes, the world of “Continuum” in this episode is supposed to be chaotic because of the cyber-attacks, but the writing shouldn’t be. Did you think there was a lot going on in this episode?
There’s something a little different about this episode. After every couple scenes, there would be a shot as if someone was watching on a security camera. The way the writers handle this is fantastic. At first, it is just strange, but then it keeps happening, and it makes viewers curious. The reveal at the end that Escher is watching all these camera feeds is a great twist. There’s enough suspense and build up, and then the reveal leaves viewers with some questions, but not too many. So, how do you think Escher got access to these feeds? What does it all mean?
Poor, poor, Lucas. Things are not going well for him. It’s great that the writers spend a lot of time with Lucas. They show the viewers exactly what Lucas is seeing. Instead of Kagame, he is actually talking to Julian. This twist is done well, and it sheds light on Lucas’s situation and reveals that Julian isn’t as squeaky clean as he pretends. What’s confusing is later on, Lucas is seeing Kagame everywhere, except there isn’t anyone else in the room. It’s hard to understand what exactly is going on in Lucas’ mind. It’s easy to understand mixing up Julian and Kagame, but then he is seeing multiple Kagames when he is all alone in a room. What are your theories about what’s wrong with Lucas?
