Content update for “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate’ confirmed (Photos)

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” is due out in stores for the 3DS and Wii U on Mar. 19, 2013 and yesterday Capcom announced that the Wii U version would already be seeing a content update in April.

While an official date for the content update isn’t available at this time, aside from “in April”, Capcom did reveal the changes that gamers can expect to see, which they claim is in response to community feedback. One of the additions that gamers can look forward to is online cross-region functionality, which will let players in North America and Europe play together online in up to four-player battles. In addition, the most interesting change is off-TV play compatibility, allowing gamers to play the game using the Wii U GamePad without the use of the TV screen.

Capcom also plans to support “Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate” for several months following the Mar. 19 release, with additional free of charge downloadable quests. The first quest will be available at the game’s launch.
