Working for a non-profit that supports locally owned and independent businesses is fun, but also requires a lot of customer service, event planning, juggling and being a good listener.
One thing I've been learning is that everyone wants to know how many people hit your website. And then the next question is how to get people to hit your website. Well a simple answer would be valuable content.
So after some brainstorming of how do we get more content, what type of content, how much time will it take and everything else you can think of, I think we have a solid idea of where to start and how.
Many members of Shop Local Raleigh are restaurant owners. After talking with locals and some just passing through the one thing in common I learned was that many of them are always questioning “what a good place to eat is and where it’s located.” After hearing this I thought there has to be a way to get the message out about all these local restaurants and what’s different about each one! So, long story short, here came the idea to write a weekly review/blog about Raleigh’s own and why you should check them out.
One thing we all know is that restaurants come in all shapes, sizes and prices. I’m going to select restaurants that are members of Shop Local Raleigh and review one a week and will write a short post on the food, what’s different and why I think you should check it out. So if you love good food, eating on a budget and supporting a local independent restaurant, then you are going to love my blogs!
