Contemporary house of many angles sits on rectangular lot
This house of many angles transforms a standard retangular space in Rotterdam into a home of striking contrasts.
Monolab created this contemporary home with sleeping and bath spaces in a concrete bunker, while the living, dining, and kitchen areas float.
Above, suspended by a steel frame is a variety of materials from metal grillwork to glass and synthetnic fabric. The metal frame also gives the interior a feeling of openness and airyness.
A number of small patios dot the home and a rooftop deck and front facade garden give continuity to the exterior.
